Families of Fallen Heroes
This site was put together because of the appalling conditions into which the families of deployed and returning soldiers have been placed.
Freedom is not free! When we have to fight for our beliefs, it costs in time, money, and most importantly, LIVES. But, those lives are not just the lives of our soldiers, it also includes the lives of the families of they leave behind. Many families are forced to split apart just to make it.
The most incredibly unbelievable statement we heard was that there were “homeless veterans” of the Iraqi/Afghanistan war! We found it hard to believe this was possible for an ongoing war. We do not believe these two words, ‘homeless’ and ‘veterans’ should ever be together.
The same is true for the amazing lack of response and help to those victims of natural disasters from our government and the agencies specifically existing for this purpose.
We wanted everyone to know what is truly happening to both the returning soldiers, and more importantly, to the families without being political in nature.
We are looking for help from the general public, in the form of monetary donations, to help these families during these times.
We understand and acknowledge there are many organizations for the soldier’s benefits and they are doing a magnificent job for our soldiers. We do not intend to be in conflict with any of these organizations.
